It’s that time of year again when everyone updates their calendars, and if you are searching for a great space-themed calendar, then look no further. The new 2017 edition of The Year in Space Wall Calendar is now available! There are always a handful of other space or astronomy calendars available from other sources, but they pale in comparison to this one.

As always, the calendar is full of spacey goodness – over 120 images (multiple images with captions on each page); details on various aspects of space and space missions; hundreds of space history dates; biographies of historical astronomers, scientists and astronauts; a monthly sky summary showing planet visibility; daily Moon phases; over 100 sky events; Fast Facts; major holidays (U.S. and Canada) and lots of room for notes. The calendar is still the same large format, at an impressive 16 x 22 inches, making for a bigger visual impact than smaller calendars. It is ideal both for people already familiar with astronomy and space, as well as those newer to the subjects.

Not surprisingly, the calendar has also been named the “Science Geek Gift of the Year” by NBC News Digital.

There are also smaller, but just as beautiful, 136-page desk calendars available, with full-page images and information about them on one side, and calendar pages with lots of room again for notes on the other side.

This year, the calendars are available exclusively though Amazon. This provides better and faster shipping, although unfortunately calendars cannot be shipped internationally. There is, however, a possible work-around for this.
